My Mckenzie is 3!!

Somehow time has flown by and I now have a 3 year old. I feel like it was just yesterday I looked like this....
And then finally we McKenzie arrived via semi-emergency C-section at 6:45am on April 5, 2009. She was a tiny little thing weighing only 7lbs 1 oz and was only 17 inches long. She has been so loved her whole life. When trying to pick a picture of my sweetie's actual birth day there were so many to choose from but this one is my fave! Jason looks so happy and so in love with her here.
The first year was awesome. McKenzie was such a good baby. We went to Pensacola and Leesburg. She danced with Daddy at her 1st wedding, was a witch for Halloween, and loved Santa Clause. McKenzie also went to her 1st FSU baseball game at 5 weeks old. Then all of a sudden she had teeth and was walking and then we came to this point...
The next year was just as fun. With more weddings and more talking. McKenzie learned animal sounds and started going to Ms. Stacey's house. And then McKenzie turned 2 ...

I had heard 2s are terrible but McKenzie did really well with them, until maybe the last couple of months. She's been more stubborn since then. But she is still a great girl. We went to our 1st game in Tallahassee, learned to draw circles and became potty trained. And now McKenzie is 3!

We  celebrated the day by taking some pictures around Dallas, eating Chicfila with Daddy and then Nana and Papa came for dinner at La Parilla where we had a cupcake and sang happy birthday!

Then Aunt Ashley and Uncle Devan came into town for the birthday/FSU baseball/ Easter weekend. I will only include the birthday party in this post. I know it is long and full of pictures! We had McKenzie's party at Chicfila as that is her favorite place. It is an AWESOME place to have a birthday party! We had a Toy Story Theme and McKenzie was so excited to get Ham, Rex and most importantly Buzz for her birthday. She had a blast playing with her best friend Mason and all her other friends. We all loved the yummy chicken nuggets! The only thing McKenzie wasn't too keen on was the cow. She did NOT get close to her. Here are some pictures from her party.

The Easter blog post will be coming sometime this weekend!

Life in the Past 2 months

I am sorry to say I have neglected this blog. I realized I haven't posted since the end of Janauary. Here is a quick recap of February and March.

1. I am pregnant again! We are having baby number 2 in September. I have the baby blog up and running again so here is the link if you've missed anything .... http://williamsaddition.blogspot.com/ This one I have kept up with.
2. McKenzie got an Alice in Wonderland dress which she wore proudly to church- here she is.
3. We went to Pensacola for winter break and that was fun as always.
4. I turned 29 - last year in the 20s should be a blast!
5. McKenzie loves to play with her tee ball and soccer ball, however she prefers to do so in a dress. She's not a tomboy or a priss.
6. We went to the beach for my PawPaw's 80th birthday. Tons of fun and always awesome to have another year with my PawPaw.

April
McKenzie is 3 today! I can't believe its been 3 years already. I will have a complete birthday/Easter weekend post on Tuesday probably. Sneak peek is that we are having a Toy Story birthday party at Chicfila. Thats all for now!

Beauty and the Beast!

Last year on Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend Ashley came up to visit and she and I went to see Beauty and the Beast the musical at the Fox Theater. This year Ashley came up again and we took McKenzie to see Beauty and the Beast in the movie theater! This was McKenzie's 1st theater experience. I had been hesitant to take her to a movie because I didn't know if she'd sit through one. When I found out Beauty and the Beast was coming out again I decided that had to be her 1st movie. Beast (as she calls Belle) is her favorite princess. Ashley came up and we took her to the 2D showing on Saturday. She loved seeing it on the big screen and the popcorn. She ate at least a 1/3 of the tub! McKenzie was good the whole movie. She sat with Aunt Ashley pretty much the whole time and stood for the parts she wasn't sitting with Ashley. Here are some pictures of my little girl at the movies!

Holidays and 2012

Well, the holiday season has come and gone. We did so many fun things and had a wonderful time! McKenzie wrote a letter to Santa Claus and we took it to Macy's to send to him. Jason and I went to DC and had a wonderful time. Santa came to visit and brought McKenzie Jessie (the thing she wanted most). I got a new dishwasher and Jason got a tv. All in all it was a great holiday season.
New years comes full of new resolutions and one of those it to post more. I have decided not to spend too much time on what I've missed but catch up to where we are now. This will start when my sister uploads the pictures from this weekend. Hopefully it will be soon but there is a family crisis going on at home. My Great Uncle Clifford was hit in the head by a tree limb and it doesn't look good. Everything is fine except his brain. I haven't heard any updates today but last night it was looking pretty grim.
Among the rest of my resolutions is to have a clean house (which we are working on my going through every room), exercise, and pay off some more debt. Last year we paid down our debt by 1/5. Hopefully this year we will get it down by another 1/3.
Stay tuned for some fun from the Williams family in 2012!

Sittin with Santa

I love to look back at how much my girl has grown over the years. I have a book titled "Sittin with Santa" and it shows my family with Santa through the years. Well here is my "Sittin with Santa" for you.

December 9, 2009
As you can see McKenzie loved Santa her 1st Christmas. We took her to a place called the Avenues because they have FREE pictures with Santa. Since I was unsure how she'd do this was the place for me. They took the picture and then uploaded it to facebook so I could see it.

 December 8, 2010
Year 2 was not a great year for McKenzie and Santa. She loved the idea of him, but did not want to get close to him. We tried a mall photo first but since she got so upset we opted to try for the free photo at the Avenues again. I personally love this picture! It was FREEZING outside so they opted for the photos with Santa to be in Barnes and Noble, which was great because McKenzie loved playing with the train table afterwords.

 November 30, 2011
This year we went to the Avenues again. I have learned my lesson about Santa photos. We also went earlier because Momma and Daddy were taking McKenzie the next day to Pensacola for the weekend. I wanted to make sure I was there with her for Santa so we went early. This year it was cold again but instead of inside Barnes and Noble it was outside in front of a fireplace at the Aspen Grille. I was a little worried about McKenzie and Santa but she did great. I had to shake his hand first but she warmed right up to him. In the picture above she is really excited about the candy cane.

 Giving Santa a hug

"I want Jessie and her hat, please"
All McKenzie has been saying for a month is she wants Santa Claus to bring her Jessie and her hat. She has a Woody and his hat already so Jessie will be a perfect addition to the family. I don't really know the obsession with the hat but its cute.

Tomorrow I hope to post about mine and Jason's trip to Washington, D.C. but I am getting a cold so I don't know if I'll feel up to it. I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. I love looking back and realizing how good I have it an seeing all I have to be thankful for. I have been in such an unhappy place because there are some things that haven't gone my way recently. It took me really thinking about Thanksgiving realize how good I have it. I have a wonderful husband and daughter. I have a job. I have a house. I have a great family. Sometimes I just get so selfish and jealous of what others have I don't see what I have.

Anyways, enough about that. This year for Thanksgiving we went to Leesburg. We had some great times with the family. Jason got to spend a night at the fish camp with just him, his dad and brother. We took Jeff Bell's jet skis and Big Fish's boat out on the lake. McKenzie loves the boat. We also found out that we are going to be an Aunt and Uncle! After waiting for a few years Ted and Denise are going to have a baby in June. I'm super excited for them and for McKenzie to have a cousin.

Here are some pictures from the weekend!

Septmber and October

September
For Labor Day we went to Leesburg for Jason's Dad and Brother's birthdays. We also took McKenzie on her 1st ride in Paw Paws boat. She loved it and kept wanting it to go fast! She fell asleep on the way back she had so much fun. The middle of September McKenzie and I went to Pensacola for a few days. We got to hang out with the family and see my grandparents new condo. McKenzie loves the beach as long as she's playing in the sand, not in the water.

October
The first weekend in October Ash came up and we ran a 5k. It was my 1st one and I finished in 30 min. Toward the end of the month I went to Athens for a Social Studies Conference and ended up winning a signed picture of Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter (which is ironic since I'm not a fan of Carter). Momma and Daddy came and we took McKenzie on her 1st bowling outing. She had a great time and almost beat me (which isn't hard to do). Then we went to a fall festival and Kenz would not get off the bouncy houses/slides. At Trunk or Treat McKenzie dressed up as a pirate and had a blast. She even rode the mechanical bull! Halloween was great fun and Kenz loved Trick or Treating!
