Yay I am finally tenured!!!! Which means that its much harder for me to lose my job now. I've been sweating it out because there have been a TON of budget cuts to our county this year. We've already lost 13 teachers, 2 counsellors, and an office staff in my school alone due to all the cutbacks. I may be making very little money and teaching something I really don't want next year but hey, I'll have a job. I'm certified to teach any special ed class k-12 (could you see me as a kindergarten teacher?) and any social studies/history/ government/ psychology/ economics 6-12 so I've got good odds. I'm hoping to stay at Austin and teach 7th grade advanced social studies or 6th grade regular. I'm just happy to be where I am though!
Kenz and I are leaving tomorrow for a trip to Pensacola for my cousin Shane's wedding and Kim's baby shower!! I can't wait!!!
