Summer Fun

So today begins my first day of summer vacation! Sad thing is, it is cool and overcast. I really wanted it to be warm and sunny so I could lay out and get something that resembles a tan. Not in the cards I guess. Today I'm going up to the church to work on stuff for the nursery and then to Sylvan learning center to see if I can get a job. I really hope that I can get one that I can only work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I just need something to do that lets me earn some extra money. Believe me we need it. I'm alos going to go the Walmart to get yet another can of stripper so I can maybe finally finish my dresser. That thing has been a pain in my butt. It is one of my main goals this summer. I also want to catch up on some reading ... I'm currently rereading Gone With the Wind (for the 5th time) and then I'm going to start Scarlett. I'm really excited about that. I also want to read a book that will help me next year in the classroom. I will find out sometime next week what I'll be teaching ... hopefully it will be some general education spot.

Last night I just sat and watched God's beauty. Yesterday I fasted because the church is praying to have God let us buy the land next to the church so we can expand. Jason didn't fast because he had to deal with people, but I actually found it to be really spiritual and good. I was proud of myself making it 24 hours without eating. After our prayer service where we walked around and prayed for the land Jason, Cole, Austin and I went to Zaxbys!!! I ate too fast and got indigestion though. Afterwords Austin came back to the house to get something and he and Jason threw the softball in the front yard. I just sat out there and watched them and the beautiful sunset. I love sunset. I can always see God's beauty in the sunset. Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary since Jason proposed to me at sunset on the beach. Its so amazing how wonderful God is!

Hello All

So,
I'm new to this whole blog thing but I thought I'd give it a try since I live forever away from all my friends and family and this is a good way for people to keep up with me. Anyways, Jason and I have been married almost a year now! We live in a small town on the outskirts of Atlanta and are super involved in our church Hope Church. We both lead small groups in the youth and I work in the nursery. It a great way for me to get my baby fix out of the way since I seem to have one like crazy lately. I'm a teacher, this year I teach ESEP math and social studies but I'm praying that next year I can be a real social studies teacher again. Jason works for a company called Fastenal and sells industrial supplies to businesses. He was in Minnesota for the previous 2 weeks so I'm SUPER happy to have him home again. Anyways, I really should be working on progress reports that should have been completed about a month ago. So this is all for now!
