Ramblings for a Monday

Yay its Monday! I know that sounds wierd but I really like working so I'm excited about Mondays! My students are great and now I'm down to about 25 -30 in a class as opposed to the 37 I had on Wednesday. I just love seeing them and learning all about them. That being said, it was really hard to get up this morning. It seems the last few work days its been rainy in the mornings and you know how hard it is to get up then.

Softball starts this week for Jason. There are 2 Hope Church teams this season, so we'll pretty much live at the ballpark. Its really cool because the team thats in the open league is Jason's "ministry". He wants to witness to the other teams that church doesn't have to be all Geeks. Last spring they played in that league and came in tied for 3rd. Maybe this year we'll get some people to come to church and they'll do better. I love my husband!

I also love my McKenzie. Though I love teaching I can't wait to come home and see this precious face smiling at me.

Isn't she cute in her jeans and polo shoes?

Oh How I Love My Family

Sundays are a favorite day for me because it is a day I can spend with my wonderful family. Today we all got spiffy for church so I had to take a picture of the ones I love. McKenzie looked so cute I did a mini photo shoot with her ... she's not sitting up, the boppy is under her. Enjoy!

Back to School

This week was the first week of the 2009-2010 school year. This year there have been a lot of changes to Austin Middle School. We have a new principal, whom I love! He prayed for the faculty at the 1st meeting. He's also a lot more involved than our former principal was. I have 2 new teachers on my team and I really like them as well. Lastly my classes have been HUGE. Monday I had 39 kids in my 4th period class. I'm down to 28 in 1st and 2nd and 35 in 3rd and 4th. Good news is we are getting 2 6th grade teachers so next week my numbers should be smaller. Here are some pictures of my classroom ... the theme this year was flying quotes!
