Christmas in Lady Lake

This Christmas Jason and I travelled to his parents house in Lady Lake to spend the week with his family. It was so strange because we left Atlanta on Monday and it was 18 degrees on Christmas Eve and Day it was in the 80s here. What a shock! The week so far has been filled with fun activities and its been great to be here. Tuesday evening I watched Jason play flag football with his buddies down here, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Christmas Eve Jason played ultimate frisbee, then we finished up last minute shopping (he procrastinates so much) and then went to Candlelight service with the family. I had never been to a Candle Light service and it was so beautiful. I really enjoyed being reminded of the reason for everything - to love and serve Jesus. Christmas Day we opened presents with Jason's parents and then headed up to his Grandma's for lunch. We didn't get to see Ted and Denise until that day and still really didn't get to spend much time with at all this trip. Ted is now driving a truck and was working most of the week. Today we went on the boat and cruised through the canals in Lake county. We were supposed to go eat Japanese tonight but Jason has a migrane so we're just ordering in. I've been craving Japanese since August and it never seems we're going to get to eat it. Tomorrow is my shower which I'm looking forward to so much. That is all for now .... I hope all is well wherever you are!

Christmas Decorations

Just thought I'd leave some pictures of mt Christmas decorations. There is one of me holding the "Mom to Be" ornament that Momma and Daddy sent me. I'm 24 weeks exactly in the picture.

The Big tree and the mantle ... you can see Dixie's favorite spot to sit as well.

The real tree Jason got me ... with colored lights, tinsle and a star on top its the opposite of any tree I've ever had before. As you can see Hope likes the tree

The stair way ... you can sort of see the real tree and my diningroom decorations in the background.

Hope also likes to sit under the big tree ... she thinks she's hiding.

Me with my ornament and 24 week belly. She's a growin!

Fall Leaves

Here are some pictures of my fall leaves from my back yard. I didn't get them when they were really pretty, but you can see we had good color. Now they're all falling off and its turning cold!!! I'm so excited because in a little over a week I'll get to put up my Christmas decorations!!!! I LOVE decorating and the house always looks so good at Christmastime. Everything is great here. Momma and Daddy visited last weekend and we had a blast. We've registered at Babies R Us and Target and the links to those are posted on the baby blog. Our little Seminole loves football and I can always feel her move around on Saturday! She gets it honest!! Maybe she will be a cheerleader, however if she takes after her Momma she won't be allowed that close to a ref or coach. Well, enjoy the leaves!

Renee's Wedding

This weekend Jason and I traveled to Jacksonville for Renee's wedding. It was a lot of fun and I'm really glad I got to see her... it had been over a year since I saw her last. Renee was a beautiful bride and I know her day was perfect. Weddings are always great fun.

I also got to hang with Chirs and Mitch this weekend because we stayed with them. It'd been since mine and Jason's wedding that I saw them and my son has grown so much! He's a junior in high school now!!! For those of you who don't know Mitch was the kid I watched when I was in college and Chris (his dad) has known me since I was born. It was nice to get to be around friends again!

The other highlight of the weekend was in Brunswick Georgia there is a Whataburger!!!!! I jokingly said befoer we stopped for lunch that I wish there would be a Whataburger somewhere since there aren't any where I live... and there was!!! We ate there on the way down and back up.

So here are some pictures from the wedding. I'm 15 weeks and 4 days preggo and you can tell!

Fall Decorations and My New Hair Cut

I got a new hair cut! My hair has been growing like a weed since I've gotten pregnant so I decided to cut it off. This is a really BAD picture of me, but you can see how short it is. It is also layered. I really like it a lot. I'm going to be in Renee's wedding this weekend so I'll have a better picture then.

I decorated the house at the beginning of September but haven't gotten around to putting the pictures up until now. So this is my fall decorated house!

The couch table you see when you walk in the house.

The ledge overlooking the stairs. Its got my dressed up bears and scarecrows on it.

This guy is really a cookie jar and dip bowl but I just have him out on an end table.

The rest are of the formal dining room ... of coarse all decked out in FSU items.

I Love Fall!

This is the most wonderful time of the year. Forget all Christmas, give me fall with Halloween and Thanksgiving over that any day! It really is starting to feel like fall up here. Its been in the upper 70s durring the day and the low 60s/upper 50s at night! The leaves will start changing soon and I can't wait!
I also love fall because of the football and Jason playing softball. I love that on Saturday I don't have to leave my house because there is always a game on I can watch. I've also started playing fantasy football and as of week 2 I'm in 2nd overall and leading my division! Jason is coaching the church co ed team and playing on the mens team. The co ed is pretty good but they are playing all the butch co ed teams. Last night all of the "girls" on the opposing teams were lesbians. How can you beat a team like that? The men's team is pretty good. I just love going to a parck and watching Jason play and coach. Its so much fun!
When the leaves change I'll post some pictures!

A little bump

This is my favorite time of the year!!! Yesterday I spent the day cleaning/ decorating with all my fall decorations and watching football. Does life get any better? I think not! Jason and I bought the FSU game last night so we could see how we're gonna be this year. I have to say I was impressed that there isn't one "star" athelete but many guys who can get the job done. And, Christian Ponder is pretty smart and cute. I like that in a QB. I really want an "Its a Nole" shirt, but I don't think they exist. They don't have them on Garnet and Gold online so I think I might be out of luck. Oh well, everyone who knows me knows this baby is a little seminole!

So I went to church today and the comment I kept hearing over and over again is "you're starting to show!". I guess this may be true because even when I suck in my tummy sticks out. I haven't gained any weight yet, so I'm totally ok with that. I have been forcing myself to eat up until Friday. Now I seem to be hungry all the time! I had my first craving on Friday as well ... rice with soy sauce. I ate a whole bag of the boil in the bag kind of rice with lots of soy sauce, yum!!! I've also moved into my maternity jeans Momma bought me. I totally love that they don't have buttons to fool with every time I go to the bathroom. I wish I could wear them everyday to work. I took a picture so you can decide for yourself. I took it myself so its not a very good picture but I didn't want to wait for 2 more hours for Jason to get home from softball practice. Let me know what you think!

No comments on how pale I am, I don't tan well. Also My skin looks really flabby and that makes me sad. No comments on that either. When Jason can take a better picture of me I'll put it up. Oh, and I'm 10 weeks and 5 days!

Heartbeat

Jason and I went to the doctor yesterday for my 1st visit. I got to hear the heartbeat which was one of the most amazing things ever! I was totally nervous that something would be wrong and I wouldn't hear the heartbeat but I did and its official that my little seminole is in there! Then I had to go get bloodwork done, which was interesting. It took her a while to get into my vein and after the 1st tube of blood I blacked out. Jason looked pretty scared when I came back to. I guess it was traumatizing for him. Hopefully next time that won't happen.
I also went to see Mamma Mia last night at the Fox in downtown Atlanta. It was a super cute movie and it was really nice to have a girls night out. The Fox is so pretty and I LOVE being downtown, as long as I don't have to drive. This weekend we're off to Leesburg and hopefully hurricane won't ruin our time down there!

Its A NOLE!

Oh, I forgot to add our baby is most certainly a Seminole!! Momma and Daddy got us the cute booties and a girl from the small group I lead last year croched the blanket and hat. They're super cute!!!

First Week of School

So, the first week as a 6th grade teacher is over with! Whew!!! It was definitely a tiring week. So far I love teaching 6th grade. The kids are all really sweet and very much in culture shock. I have one class that is super talkative though and I'm working to fix that ASAP. I did have a student cry on Thursday, its a record for me to have one cry in the first week. He didn't so so well on my Continents and Oceans Pre- Quiz and he was really upset. I told him it was just a pre-quiz and didn't count for anything but he still took it hard he did poorly. I love kids like that! Here are some pictures of my room. Top Gun are those rewarded for having the best test grade in a class. 5 point for highest, 4 for 2nd highest and so on.
Word Wall and my AMAZING curtains Granny and Momma made - lucky for me the school colors are garnet and gold! The front of my room. On the board is the Olympic Medal count and the Today in History. My desk - of coarse all Seminole! The quote is my class motto - "No Day But Today" from Rent!

Yuck

So far my pregnancy has been great. I haven't gotten sick yet and I really hope it stays that way. I am starting to discover things that make my stomach turn though, so I'm sure nausea is not too far away. I have a food aversion to chicken, which really stinks because I used to eat a lot of chicken. At fisrt I thought it was just fried food becuase I didn't like my Chick-fil- A nuggets or Jason's mozzarella sticks but I have since discovered its both fried food and chicken. Yesterday I gaged in Sam's when I smelled the rotisserie chicken. This is going to be really hard if I can't eat chicken for a while. I was reading my "What to expect when you're especting" book and found out that an aversion to chicken is really common but people don't know why it happens. Strange.
I'll put pictures up tomorrow of my classroom. I don't have the camera beside me now and I actually need to get going to school.

Suprise!!!

Well, most of you know by now that I am pregnant. And most all of you are suprised because you didn't expect us to get pregnant so soon. So here is our pregnancy story.
At the end of June Jason and I had a conversation about maybe starting to try to have kids. This is about a year earlier than we expected this conversation would come up so we prayed about it and decided I'd get off birth control and we'd just let God do what he wanted to do. I took my last pill on June 29th. We knew that most people take months to get pregnant and we were totally ok with that, but we didn't want anyone else to know we were trying. I just didn't want everyone to ask "so, are you pregnant yet?" every time I saw them. So the end of July rolls around and its about that time and I don't start on the Tuesday I'm supposed to, or the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. So I got a pregnancy test and took it just to see. Well, I got a cheap one from Publix and it was a faint plus. So the next day I got a name brand one and it was definantly a positive. Jason and I decided to wait to tell everyone until I went to the doctor and made sure. So I went Thursday July 31st and he told me I was 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant and due April 1st! Then we called and got to suprise everyone. It was so much fun!!!!

Jason and I are really excited and we pray everything goes well. I go back on August 28th for my next visit and ultrasound. I'll get to hear the heartbeat then. We should be able to find out what the baby is right before Thanksgiving and I know Jason is ready for that. Here are a couple of pictures for you to enjoy. Pray that everything goes well with my pregnancy. So far its been really good!!

Its kinda blurry but you can see the 2 pink lines for a positive Yay! I'm pregnant!!!! My belly before the baby starts to show - I was 4 weeks and 5 days

Camp SKAMP and My House

So, I've been super busy this month with Jason's parents visiting, camp SKAMP and painting the house.

Jason's parents were here the 1st week in July. Jason's mom and I went one day to Jonesboro and had a "Gone With the Wind Day". It was so much fun! We took a historical tour of the town and toured the Road to Tara Museum. It was really nice to have a girls day and both be able to enjoy it so much! We spent the 4th at the Braves game. We sat in the Gold Moon Pavilion level which is the way to watch a game. It has good food and air conditioning inside the stadium. It was nice being able to spend time with them.

The Thursday after Mom D and Bigfish left I flew home to Pensacola for camp. First off I got to spend time with my grandparents, have a girls night with my Aunts and cousins, eat Tuscan Oven and eat Whatburger! Its kinda funny what you miss when you move away. Camp was AMAZING!!! The theme was "Olympics" and we did a lot of fun things. There was opening ceremonies and we had a band come play, we had Olympic games which were discus, javelin, shot put, archery, rifle shooting, dance, bowling and basketball. I had to give out the medals for the games so it was a lot of fun to watch the kids have a good time and then get excited about their medals. I was in charge of recreation and we played soccer, volleyball and had an obstacle course. It was great to get to see some of my favorite campers from years past like Steveo, Grice and Kyle and I made new favorites like Klayton and Tommy! Here are a few pictures from camp.
Me and Kyle

Right before Kyle "accidentally" shot me - he got the "Cruel Intentions" Medal

Steveo doing what he does best - playing the piano

Me and my new love Klayton

Me and Michael Grice on the last day, as you can see no one wants to leave camp

After I got back from camp Momma and I drove back up here and started painting the walls in my house. We did the foyer, kitchen, dining room and living room in 3 days! It was a lot of work but I'm so glad its done. The house looks sooo amazing now! Momma did a great job and I'm so thankful she came and helped. Here are pictures of what we painted.

The living room, excuse the ladder we need to take it back to the neighbor

My beautiful kitchen! (The place I spend the most time in)

That's all for now. Josh Anderson is coming up this weekend to visit and I can't wait!!
