Easter

This year Easter was McKenzie's birthday weekend. I wasn't looking forward to it at all. I'm just being honest. It was also the weekend FSU was playing at Georgia Tech. So somehow we managed to get everything done in one weekend.

Friday we pretty much just hung out and got ready for McKenzie's party.
Saturday was the party which was a blast. After the party Mamma and Daddy took McKenzie for the night while Ashley, Jason, Devan and I went to the FSU -Georgia Tech game. It was so much fun. We won 12 to 7. After the game we went to a place called the Marietta Diner, which was so good! It has pretty much everything you could want to eat. Its crazy because it is a diner but there is a wait to get in. We then went by Krispy Kreme and got doughnuts for Easter morning. Here is the baseball crew. Oh, and I'm not huge, it is just the shirt (I think).

The next day was Easter! McKenzie loved all of her goodies in her Easter basket. We then went to church, came home and had Easter dinner and then an egg hunt. Dinner was so yummy - Honey Baked Ham, deviled eggs, Hawaiian sweet rolls, green bean casserole, potato salad. Here are a few Easter pictures.

After the day and remembering what the whole meaning behind Easter is I was very happy. I am so thankful to have a savior who would sacrifice his life for me. He is so awesome!

My Mckenzie is 3!!

Somehow time has flown by and I now have a 3 year old. I feel like it was just yesterday I looked like this....
And then finally we McKenzie arrived via semi-emergency C-section at 6:45am on April 5, 2009. She was a tiny little thing weighing only 7lbs 1 oz and was only 17 inches long. She has been so loved her whole life. When trying to pick a picture of my sweetie's actual birth day there were so many to choose from but this one is my fave! Jason looks so happy and so in love with her here.
The first year was awesome. McKenzie was such a good baby. We went to Pensacola and Leesburg. She danced with Daddy at her 1st wedding, was a witch for Halloween, and loved Santa Clause. McKenzie also went to her 1st FSU baseball game at 5 weeks old. Then all of a sudden she had teeth and was walking and then we came to this point...
The next year was just as fun. With more weddings and more talking. McKenzie learned animal sounds and started going to Ms. Stacey's house. And then McKenzie turned 2 ...

I had heard 2s are terrible but McKenzie did really well with them, until maybe the last couple of months. She's been more stubborn since then. But she is still a great girl. We went to our 1st game in Tallahassee, learned to draw circles and became potty trained. And now McKenzie is 3!

We  celebrated the day by taking some pictures around Dallas, eating Chicfila with Daddy and then Nana and Papa came for dinner at La Parilla where we had a cupcake and sang happy birthday!

Then Aunt Ashley and Uncle Devan came into town for the birthday/FSU baseball/ Easter weekend. I will only include the birthday party in this post. I know it is long and full of pictures! We had McKenzie's party at Chicfila as that is her favorite place. It is an AWESOME place to have a birthday party! We had a Toy Story Theme and McKenzie was so excited to get Ham, Rex and most importantly Buzz for her birthday. She had a blast playing with her best friend Mason and all her other friends. We all loved the yummy chicken nuggets! The only thing McKenzie wasn't too keen on was the cow. She did NOT get close to her. Here are some pictures from her party.

The Easter blog post will be coming sometime this weekend!

Life in the Past 2 months

I am sorry to say I have neglected this blog. I realized I haven't posted since the end of Janauary. Here is a quick recap of February and March.

1. I am pregnant again! We are having baby number 2 in September. I have the baby blog up and running again so here is the link if you've missed anything .... http://williamsaddition.blogspot.com/ This one I have kept up with.
2. McKenzie got an Alice in Wonderland dress which she wore proudly to church- here she is.
3. We went to Pensacola for winter break and that was fun as always.
4. I turned 29 - last year in the 20s should be a blast!
5. McKenzie loves to play with her tee ball and soccer ball, however she prefers to do so in a dress. She's not a tomboy or a priss.
6. We went to the beach for my PawPaw's 80th birthday. Tons of fun and always awesome to have another year with my PawPaw.
