Enjoying the day off

Today is Martin Luther King Holiday and I'm so happy to have the day off. This weekend was a busy one with Momma coming in and pretty much finishing the nursery. Now I feel like I can bring home my little baby. Today after Mom left I ran some errands and got a much needed hair cut. Its to my sholders and layered, nothing too drastic. I've spent the last hour or so trying to get my camera to connect to my computer so I can upload pictures of the nursery to the baby blog. For some reason the stupid thing won't connect and I'm getting pretty annoyed.
Everything is going great right now. There is a 40% chance of snow tonight and I'm praying it does and there is no school again tomorrow! I'd LOVE to not have to teach an inaguration day lesson. If it does snow and I do get my camera to where it will upload pictures I'll add some. Anyways, thats all for now!

Its Gonna Be a Happy New Year!

My favorite thing about the new year is you get a chance to start over. You have a chance to say "This year I'm going to do better". While I have not screwed up royally in my life I still like the ability to improve on things. I totally believe in making resolutions but I feel that if they don't go as plannned you need to reevaluate and redo them at some point throughout the year. So here are my 2009 Resolutions.
1. Trust in God - in everything. This one seems to be the hardest and is at the top of my list every year. I continuously take things back from God and try and fix them myself. This never works and yet I ALWAYS do it. I am praying that this year is different.
2. Listen to God - my prayer life is blah. I am such a needy person I feel all I do is create a list of things I want instead of actually listening to what God wants me to do.
3. Serve in anyway needed - I love serving God in any way I can. I want to be used for his glory!
4. Eat healthier - who doesn't want to do this
5. Get out of some of our debt - credit cards are the devil. End of story.

I think that should hold me over. Atleast now I have it written down so I can look at these resolutions on a regular basis to remind myself of what I need to do.

2009 is going to be amazing - only a few short months and then I'll be holding my little girl!!!!
