Job, Anniversary and Big Stuf

So much has happened since my last post. 1st of all I found out I'm going to be a 6th grade social studies teacher next year!!! I'm so excited I won't be teaching ESEP anymore! I'll have my own classtoom and I'll be teaching about Canada, Latin America, Europe and Australia. I'm super excited about that.

Last weekend was Big Stuf. It was my 1st ever youth trip and it was a blast!!! We left Friday morning to make the 7ish hour trip down to Panama City. That night was a worship session which was great. Our speaker was Jared Herd and he is amazing! The theme was Broadcast and was all about how we need to have our lives broadcast Jesus and his love. Sunday night was the most emotional for me. We had 2 of our students go on stage and have all 1500 people who were there pray for them. They are both 7th grade boys and both lost their dads this year. I cried from start to finish that night. A few of my girls realized that they need to work on what they are broadcasting to others so it was a real eye opener to them and ... one of my girls accepted Christ for the 1st time this weekend. I am so proud of them for all the ways they have let God work in thier lives this week. Worship was AMAZING!!! We had Steve Fee lead the first 2 nights and he is awesome! When we weren't in a session or eating (yucky) camp food we were at the beach and pool. So much fun! The only bummer is that on Saturday I dropped my camera in the kiddie pool and I have no pictures. I'm supposed to get copies from someone though.

Monday while we were at Big Stuf was mine and Jason's 1st anniversary. He came to the room at 12:14 to say happy anniversary and give me a kiss. The girls all called out "purple" and erupted into giggles. Purple is the code word for couples being too close. During the day we just spent time with our groups but that night was the out to eat night so at least we something that resembled an anniversary dinner. I ate gator for the 1st time that night too!!! The church got us a cake so that was pretty nice. Anyways, I think that is all for now. Jason and I are going to North Carolina for the weekend this weekend. I'll take pictures and update you on all of thatwhen we get back. Lots of love!!!!!
